Biography
Ahmad Miralai was a prominent Iranian translator and writer educated in England and France who translated over 30 books and hundreds of literary pieces. He was a signatory of the "We are Writers" declaration protesting the murder of fellow intellectuals and advocating for freedom of expression. In 1995, at the age of 53, he was killed as part of the state-linked "Chain Murders" targeting dissidents and thinkers.
احمد میرعلایی مترجم و نویسنده سرشناس ایرانی و تحصیلکرده انگلستان و فرانسه بود که بیش از ۳۰ کتاب و صدها اثر ادبی را به فارسی برگرداند. او از امضاکنندگان بیانیه «ما نویسندهایم» در اعتراض به قتل سعیدیسیرجانی و خفقان حاکم بود. میرعلایی در سال ۱۹۹۵ در سن ۵۳ سالگی در جریان قتلهای زنجیرهای روشنفکران به قتل رسید و پیکر او در حالی که به دیواری تکیه داده شده بود، پیدا شد.
